UARO is a first coding robot for young children. Learners build a robot from shaped parts using Roborobo's patented bolts and nuts, then program it by placing command blocks on a coding board. Each block carries an NFC chip with a stored action such as forward, turn, light an LED or play a melody. Pressing a button on the board sends the program to the robot. A companion app lets children code on a tablet or phone with playful character commands, sent to the robot over Bluetooth.
What's in the box:
UARO robot parts and electronic components
Coding board and command blocks
Workbook and assembly manual
Assembly tools
Battery case (replaceable batteries)
LEGO Duplo converter part
Technical breakdown:
Coding method: NFC command blocks on a coding board, or app coding over Bluetooth
Command blocks: forward, back, turn left, turn right, motor control, orange and blue LED, melody, remote controller, motion sensor, infrared sensor
Assembly: patented bolts and nuts, tool-based
Learning outcomes:
Children build fine motor skills and creativity through assembly, and learn sequencing and early computational thinking through unplugged coding. Suitable for kindergartens, preschools and parents.
